Druids are really strong as a crutch for your weaker units, they do fall quite hard from grace later on. Wardancer is a great unit, but will feel alone on the frontline for quite a while. On small map I'd rather play Sylvans, their heroes does not need lots of levels to carry you, the rangers are totally stupid if you manage to protect them, fortunately the fairies and spirit will protect them. Usually, Academy is strong, they push easily and they do not need expensive units to wreck your day, their golems can rampage very easily early on and some factions (Hi Necropolis) can't really do shit against them before having access to their greatest units.
